Enoch was not "raptured" to avoid the flood

Several times I've heard pre-trib teachers point to Enoch as an example in the old testament of the pre-trib rapture. Thankfully, the bible gives us enough information to calculate how many years Enoch lived and when the flood actually happened.
Imagine a timeline that starts at zero when Adam is created. Let's calculate what year Enoch died.

3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:
12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:
15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

130 + 105 + 90 + 70 + 65 + 162 + 365 = 987

Enoch was taken to heaven around the year 987 based on these numbers.

Now let's calculate the year of the flood:

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:
28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.

Genesis 7:6 tells us how old Noah was when the flood came
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

130 + 105 + 90 + 70 + 65 + 162 + 65 + 187 + 182 + 600 = 1656

So the flood happened in the year 1656 and Enoch was taken to heaven in the year 987. There's 669 year difference there. Enoch would have had to live to be 1034 years old to survive till the flood. No one is recorded in the bible as living that long.

To say that Enoch was "raptured" to avoid the flood would be like God "rapturing" someone in the year 1345 to avoid a judgment in the year 2014. It's stupid and I'm tired of hearing that argument to support a pre-trib rapture.
